    That depends on how many clicks you get. The more clicks per month you get, the more per month it will cost.

    That is why they decided on the catchy name, “pay per click”.

    Aside from the quantity of clicks there is one other major factor. Cost largely depends on the subject and which keywords cause your ad to come up. For example, if you are a law firm and someone does a search for say a divorce lawyer and they click on your ad, that click might cost $5.00. Big ticket items are high. If for example you are advertising something with a very limited market the price will be a lot lower. If you’re selling a book on the sex lives of Amazonian plants that might only cost you ten cents a click.

    And don’t forget about the coversion rate. That is how many click throughs actually turn into paying customers. A lot of that depends on the effectiveness of the ad and the case your web site makes for your product. Those are also factors in the cost. So there are a lot of variables. An auto manufacturer might pay many thousands, but the guy selling thtee plant book might only pay 25 or 50 perhaps
