ifydcat I want to start a website (and informational website) and was wondering if it’s possible to actually make a substantial amount of money or if it would be a waste of my time…..
Has anyone ever made a website and used pay per click companies like Googles Adword and actually made some money????
I’m not expecting to make a TON, but something substantial……
any info on this, especially from people who HAVE had success would be greatly appreciated

Yes you can start a website that provide original content about a niche topic and draw enough of a crowd to generate some money from the click ads.
You don’t want to limit yourself to just click ads though. You will want alternative ways of monitizing your traffic including affilate marketing of products or services that relate to your topic.
Steve Pavilna started the website below a few years back and now is generating over $1000/mo from this site in just adwords revenue.
I stated the Home Business Article Directory below in Janurary 2008 and have begun producing a small amount each month from the traffic between click ads and a few affilate programs. It’s not a fortune by no means but it will continue to grow as traffic to the site increases. The site has collected a few hundred articles already and has over 250 authors registered.
